Interested in technology, computers, and cybersecurity? Come and join Olivet's high school oriented cybersecurity club: the Cyber Defense Institute. Learn about networks, cyber threats, attack vectors, ways to stop hackers, and other aspects of the field of Cybersecurity. You'll learn practical, hands-on skills that you can use right away. The hands-on labs and insightful lessons will be brought to you by Olivet professors and members of Women in Cybersecurity. The Institute is open to any high school-aged individual. Starting February 21st, we'll meet every Wednesday from 4:30-6:00, until our graduation date on April 10th!
If accepted, you will be sent a payment link before the start of the Institute. While Olivet offers the Institute at no cost, there is a $35 fee for the online labs. The payment link will go directly to the maker of the online labs. If this presents a financial burden, please let us know. Scholarships to cover the cost of the online labs may be available.
Registration period closes Monday, February 19, 2024
