Summer Orientation

9:30 AM - 4:30 PM Central Standard Time
Up to 1 guest allowed
Location: Main Campus

Description:

Orientation will be a 1-Day event designed to help you jump start into your Olivet experience. The orientation will start with check-in at 9:30 and end around 4:30 p.m. central time on each of the days. We will have the exact same schedule for each student and a parent on Friday, July 17th, Saturday, July 18th, and Sunday, July 19th . We will have a worship time together during the Sunday option. We do need to limit the experience to each student bringing just one parent with them. The exact event will be available online the following Monday for family members to review.

Students will need to choose just one day to come to campus. For those who are unable to come to campus, we will premier nearly the exact same event online on Monday, July 20th at 10:00 am central time.

When you come to campus on either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, you will be in a cohort of 50 people made up of 25 students & 25 parents. We will have 8 groups of 50 in various locations on campus. All the presentations will either be simulcast live or there will be a presenter in your area. The day will begin with Dr. Bowling, our university president, telling the Olivet Story. Throughout the day we will have sessions on Financial Aid, Academic Success, Music Involvement, Athletics, and Thriving at Olivet.

There will also be a time on your schedule to walk the campus and get inside any of the buildings. Residence Halls will be open as well to give you an opportunity to view the room you will be living in this fall—bring your measuring tape!

If you already registered for orientation in July, please re-register for your specific day due to our new format. We will be providing you with lunch during your orientation and have also partnered with our area hotels to offer you a special Olivet rate if you need to travel the night before.

Please contact the Office of Admissions at 815-939-5203 if you would like assistance with directions to Bourbonnais, require transportation from a Chicago airport or train station (please give us two weeks notice), or have any questions about Orientation. We are anticipating a great event and look forward to seeing you!
